Johns Photographs
Welcome
Hi all. I am 16 years old and I am from the Wirral. I have been interested in trains since I was a toddler, I used to go to Chester with my dad to watch the 31s and 37s.
I started photographing at an early age using film - visiting places like Newport to catch some 59s. Chester to see 37s and 31s, Liverpool Lime Street to see units and many others.

I started using film but due to the amount of photos I took the cost was too high. My dad then bought me a polaroid. I loved the idea of seeing my photos instantly but again I was taking far too many photos so I then made the change over to digital. I have had a number of different Cannon digital cameras including the 5D, 10D, 20D and now the 1DMkIIn. I use a range of lenses a 300mm(L) fixed zoom, a 70-200mm(L), a 28-135mm and a 24-105mm.

I am also a member of WFRM (Wirral Finescale Railway Modellers), some of the layouts we have include Charlotte Road(p4), Widnes Vine Yard(OO) and more on the way. Have a look on www.wirralfinescale.com
Hope you all enjoy my website. It has photos from all over the UK rain or shine and I photograph every train, from the normal Pendolinos and Voyagers to 60s, 66s and 37s. All the shots were taken with the Canon EOS 1D MkIIn from the 9th October. Prior to this I used a Cannon EOS 20D.

Please Feel free to comment and rate my photos.

Videos of things I photograph as well as others can be can be found on YouTube along with videos of models under the user beast66606 (my dad)

A big thank you to "Anon" - my dad's mate who helps out with Trust information when he can to enable train identification.
